چکیده
Background: Neonatal seizure is a paroxysmal behavior caused by hyper-synchronous discharge of group neurons. seizures are the most common overt manifestation neurological dysfunction in newborn. The electroencephalography (EEG) an important tool evaluation infant with symptoms referable to central nervous system. It provides excellent and non-invasive method assessing at risk newborns formulating prognosis for long-term outcome. Hence, this study was planned evaluate clinical, etiological, EEG profile neonatal its corelation developmental Methods: Prospective observational done among 71 cases patients admitted Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College hospital from November 2014 October 2015. All consecutive term preterm neonates documented who were intensive care unit (NICU) proper consent counseling parents included study. Results: Total enrolled, out them 21% (n=15) within 24 h birth, 42% (n=30) 24–72 h, 37% (n=26) newborn >72 birth. number male 56% (n=40), while female 44% (n=31). Out newborn, 60 (84%) had subtle seizure, 4 (6%) tonic seizures, 2 (3%) clonic 5 (7%) seizure. In our study, causes birth asphyxia 50% (n=36), meningitis 15% (n=11), hypoglycemia 13% (n=9). Other cause hypocalcemia 8.5% (n=6), kernicterus 2.8% (n=2), intraventricular hemorrhage 1.5% (n=1). Conclusion: we have found that babies appear adverse neurodevelopmental outcome due any brain insult occurred during period. Onset be predicting factor Frequency also has impact on outcome, single episode good

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولEtiological profile of early neonatal bacterial sepsis by multiplex qPCR.
INTRODUCTION Given the major impact in terms of morbidity and mortality that episodes of early neonatal sepsis (ENS) have on both newborns and health systems, this study aimed to identify the etiological profile of early neonatal bacterial sepsis by a multiplex quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). METHODOLOGY Blood samples from newborns diagnosed with clinical ENS and hosp...
